Technical Set-up menu
Digital Tuning menu
Auto Service Update
This option enables the TV to detect and store new digital services as they
become available.
With the ‘Auto Service Update’ option highlighted, press the
OK
button to adjust.
Press the
V
or
v
button to select ‘On’ or ‘Off’. Press the
OK
button to confirm.
Software Download
This option enables the TV to automatically receive software updates, free
through your existing aerial (when issued). Sony recommends that this option is
set to ‘On’ at all times. If you do not wish your software to be updated, set this
option to ‘Off’.
With the ‘Software Download’ option highlighted, press the
OK
button to adjust.
Press the
V
or
v
button to select ‘On’ or ‘Off’. Press the
OK
button to confirm.
System Information
This is an information screen only and displays the current software version and
the signal strength.
With the ‘System Information’ option highlighted, press the
OK
button to display
the ‘System Information’ screen. Press the
B
button to return to the ‘Technical
Set-up’ menu.
Digital Auto Tuning
All the available digital channels were tuned in when the TV was first installed.
This option allows you to repeat that process (e.g. to search for new channels
that have been launched by broadcasters).
With the ‘Digital Auto Tuning’ option highlighted, press the
OK
button to display
the ‘Autotune’ prompt. Press the
OK
button to start the auto tuning process.
When an on screen message informs you that the auto tuning process has
finished, press the
B
button to return to the ‘Digital Tuning’ menu.
Programme List Edit
This option allows you to remove any unwanted digital channels.
With the ‘Programme List Edit’ option highlighted, press the
OK
button to display
the ‘Programme List Edit’ menu. Press the
V
or
v
button to highlight the channel
you wish to remove. Press the
OK
button to remove the channel.
Digital Manual Tuning
This option allows you to manually tune digital channels.
With the ‘Digital Manual Tuning’ option highlighted, press the
OK
button to
display the ‘Digital Manual Tuning’ menu. Press the
V
or
v
button to search for
any available channels. Once the available channels have been found, press the
V
or
v
button to select the channel you wish to store. Press the
OK
button to
confirm. Press the
V
or
v
button to select the channel number where you want
to store the new channel. Press the
OK
button to confirm.
