Configuring the Network
About the IP Address
IP address of the monitor
The monitor uses four IP addresses. Sequential IP
addresses are assigned to each of input blocks A to D on
the monitor.
When the NETWORK switch is set to PEER TO
PEER
The IP addresses of the monitor are fixed to the following:
Input block A: 192.168.0.1
Input block B: 192.168.0.2
Input block C: 192.168.0.3
Input block D: 192.168.0.4
When the NETWORK switch is set to LAN
The IP addresses of the monitor are reflected by those set
in “Network Configuration for the Monitor” (page 34). Set
up the IP address of the monitor if necessary.
They are set to the following at the factory:
Input block A: 192.168.0.1
Input block B: 192.168.0.2
Input block C: 192.168.0.3
Input block D: 192.168.0.4
IP address of a PC for controlling the
monitor
Set a different IP address from those of the monitor for the
windows PC for controlling the monitor.
Example:
In a case where the IP addresses of the monitor are set to
the following,
IP address
192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.4
Subnet mask
255.255.255.0
set the IP address of the PC to the following:
IP address
192.168.0.100
Subnet mask
255.255.255.0
Network Configuration for the
Monitor
Perform the network configuration for the monitor using a
Web browser. The name can be set for an individual
monitor using a Web browser. You can also optionally set
a password for the network configuration of the monitor
(page 35).
We recommend configuring the network when a single
monitor is connected to the PC.
For the connection between the monitor and a PC, see
“Connecting a Monitor” on page 31.
To start the setup window
1
Start Internet Explorer on the PC connected to the
monitor.
2
Enter the IP address of input block A on the Address
bar.
The Enter Network Password window appears.
3
Type “root” in the User Name text box and the
password in the Password text box, then click OK.
The password is set to “9999” at the factory.
If the settings are authenticated, the Network setup
window is displayed in the Web browser.
To change the network configuration
Set the IP addresses, subnet mask and default gateway that
are applied when the monitor is used with the NETWORK
switch set to LAN. Set the IP address for input block A.
The sequential IP addresses are automatically assigned for
input blocks B to D.
None of new IP addresses are to match any of the old IP
addresses.
Setup example:
Old IP addresses
192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.4
New IP addresses
[Correct] 192.168.0.5 to 192.168.0.8
[Incorrect] 192.168.0.3 to 192.168.0.6
