When configuring the network for
the monitor, the setup window via a
Web browser cannot be displayed
(The Enter Network Password
window for password authentication
does not appear).
The monitor or the device for connecting
the monitor is turned off.
• Check that the MAIN POWER switch on the
connected monitor is turned on. If not, turn it on.
• Check that the power of the LAN hub is turned on. If
not, turn it on.
The cable connection between the
monitor and PC is not correct.
Check that the cable is connected correctly. If not,
connect it correctly (page 31).
• One of the four IP addresses used for
the monitor is set to the same as that
for the connected PC.
• Any of the four IP addresses used for
the monitor are set to the same as
those used for the devices connected
via the network.
• Change the IP addresses of the devices that are the
same as those as the monitor connected via the
network.
• Turn off the LAN hub then turn it on after changing
the IP address, since the LAN hub may store the
abnormal status in memory.
• Reboot the PC.
The subnet masks of the monitor and
PC differ.
Check the subnet mask of the PC in the Network
setting window of the Operating System of the PC. If
the subnet mask differs from that of the monitor, set it
to the same subnet mask as the monitor. For the
setting, consult your network administrator.
The browser is not set correctly.
If the browser uses a proxy server, change the proxy
server setting to “Access the Internet without using a
proxy server.”
Multiple network connections are used
on the PC at the same time.
Close all network connections other than connection
to the monitor, reboot the PC, then connect to the
monitor via the network again.
The Windows OS is slow in data
processing or there may be a problem
with the application in use.
• Close any open applications.
• Reboot the PC.
The Network setup window via a
Web browser cannot be displayed
when operating the password
authentication window (Enter
Network Password window) during
network configuration for the
monitor.
You have entered an incorrect
password.
Enter the correct password (page 34).
An error occurs when a new IP
address is entered in the Network
setup window during network
configuration for the monitor.
The new IP address you are setting is
the same as the current IP address of
the monitor. This monitor uses four
sequential IP addresses.
Set a correct IP address (page 34).
An error occurs in the Monitor Name
setup window for network
configuration for the monitor.
You are typing a character or symbol not
allowed for use in a monitor name
setting.
Use only characters or symbols allowed for use in the
monitor name setting (page 35).
An error occurs in the Password
setup window for network
configuration for the monitor.
• You are typing a character or symbol
not allowed for use in a password
setting.
• The entered password consists of
fewer than four characters.
Set the password using four to 20 characters and
symbols allowed for use in a password setting (page
35).
