Quick AF Full HD Movie
Most interchangeable-lens cameras
employ standard contrast-detection
autofocusing when shooting movies. But

65 delivers the superior speed and
precision of full-time continuous phase-
detection autofocusing even during
HD movie shooting at 60p—thanks to
the breakthrough advantages of Sony
Translucent Mirror Technology. This newly
enhanced Quick AF Full HD Movie feature
combines with high sensitivity and efficient
noise reduction to provide professional
results even when focusing on fast-moving
subjects indoors. Although aperture control
is automatic, you can lock the exposure
with the AEL button and apply exposure
compensation while shooting. When the
AF area is set to Local, you can also switch
the focus point from one part of the scene
to another while shooting. These flexible
capabilities let you shoot movies and
enjoy wider-ranging creative possibilities
than ever before.

you can capture Full HD movies at 60 fps
using the new AVCHD Ver. 2.0 (Progressive)
format. This powerful capability is made
possible by the Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor,

24p cinema-like expression
Hollywood films are traditionally captured at
24 fps, creating a subtle but unmistakable
look that movie lovers everywhere associate
with the cinema. Simply by capturing
your movies at the same frame rate, in the
progressive format at 24p, you can recreate
this look and endow your movies with an
added sense of quality and drama.
