As with any list of programs, highlighting a title in the

SELECT or RIGHT arrow displays

screen. If

are temporarily disabled, the padlock is dim and unlocked. (For more

This

screen lets you start playing a program, delete a recorded
program, stop a recording in progress, or take one of the options described below.
Pressing the LEFT ARROW always selects “Don’t do anything.”

If you were playing the recording before but left it before
it finished, you will have an option to “Resume Playing.” Resume Playing starts
the program from the point you stopped watching.

Takes you to a screen where you can specify how long to save your
recording. To change the date when the program may be deleted, press the DOWN
arrow until the date is highlighted, then press the RIGHT or LEFT arrows until the
date you want appears. Press SELECT to return to
$&&
.
& Records a program from the 3!$% to a videotape. If
you have a Sony VCR, connect the IR Control cable (as described in the
Installation Guide ), and complete
!
(described on page 94). You can
then put a tape in the VCR and select “Save to VCR.” This automatically turns on
the VCR and begins recording. If you don’t have a Sony VCR, you need to set up
the VCR before choosing “Save to VCR.” (You cannot record a program from your
VCR onto your Receiver.) Be sure you have a cable connected from the output of
your Receiver to the input of your VCR before selecting this option. (See the
Installation Guide for details on connecting your VCR to the Receiver.)
