Operation
With the RM-P110 Remote Control Unit, it is possible
to perform 3 operations on the UPA-P100MD Digital
Capture Unit. These operations are grabbing images,
printing images, and saving images to CD-R. It is also
possible to assign strings of up to 16 characters to each
of the 8 function keys. This allows you to assign
doctor names, patient names, or procedure names to
the function keys. This section contains an overview of
the functions of the major keys. Operation of the unit
with the Digital Capture Unit is explained in the UPA-
P100MD User’s Guide. Refer to it for more details.
Remote Control Setup
Mode
Use the following procedure to switch to the Setup
Mode.

Press and hold the [1] key then turn on the UPA-
P100MD. The following screen appears.

Using the [
T
] or [
t
] keys, move the cursor to
the setting that you want to modify. Press the
[ENT] key to select a mode. Refer to the table on
the next page for the meaning of the display items
in this screen.

Use the [
T
] and [
t
] keys to move to the desired
item. Use the [
R
] and [
r
] keys to change the
setting. Repeat for other settings. When you finish
making all the settings in one screen, press the
[ENT] key. This takes you to the next screen of the
selected Setup Mode item or back to the [SETUP
MODE] screen. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as necessary.

When you finish making all the desired settings,
move the cursor to [End] in the [SETUP MODE]
screen and press the [ENT] key. The RM-P110
returns to the screen displayed just before entering
the Setup Mode.
Note
The operating state settings made in the Setup Mode
are stored in EEPROM (electrically erasable ROM), so
that the settings are retained even when the remote
control is off.
