White balance
Set the white balance to the colour temperature of the location. eg Daylight 5600K or Tungsten
3200K.
•
Press the WHT BAL Button [A]
•
Select memory A or B [B] . Preset
position may be used when colour
temperature is known to be either
5600K (daylight) or 3200K (tungsten).
•
Frame the camera on a white object.
•
Correctly expose the image.
•
Press [C] to activate white balance.
•
The icon will flash and a colour temp
will be displayed ( Eg. 4400k).
•
If the WB doesn’t work the will flash
slowly.
•
The white balance should be adjusted
every time the lighting conditions in
your picture change.
Zebra
You can display a zebra pattern as a guide for adjusting brightness, select the zebra button on the
side of the camera, the icon will show in the camera along with the value (70 is default). The
Zebra pattern is useful for setting exposure on skin tones. Adjust the iris until the zebra pattern can
just be seen on the highlights of a face.
Colour bars
Can be used as a test signal for recording checks or as a guide to
set up a monitor. It is activated by pressing assign button 2
(DIAGRAM 1:15) on the camera side.
