When detaching the microphone cable

 Detach the microphone from the microphone holder.

 Unplug the microphone plug while pressing the release lever down.

Attaching the lens hood

   

Move the lens hood lock lever at the bottom of the lens hood to RELEASE 
(default setting).

   

Attach the lens hood to the camcorder and move the lens hood lock lever 
to LOCK.
