How to use
Turning off the unit
1
Press the on/standby button on the unit and hold it down for longer than three
seconds.
The power indicator on the unit will flash and then turn orange (and the system will enter standby
mode).

Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet.
Switch between the UMD
TM
drive and the DVD-ROM drive

Confirm that the power indicator on the controller is off.
If the power indicator turns on, slide the power/hold switch to the up position for longer than five
seconds to turn the controller off.

Press the drive select button on the unit, and select which drive to use.
The selected drive’s indicator turns orange.

Slide the power/hold switch on the controller to the up position.
The power indicator on the controller turns green, and the menu screen is displayed within seconds.
About radio frequency interference when using wireless LAN
When using the wireless LAN function, separate the unit’s aerial and the controller by at least 80
centimeters (31 inches). Alternatively, you can use the Network Kit (DTP-H120) (sold separately).
If the unit is used with the controller and aerial in close proximity to each other, radio frequency
interference from the controller will interfere with the wireless LAN signal and can cause an increase in
loss of data packets.
