Preparation
MAV-555 Setup
The following settings are required in the MAV-555 to enable the functions
provided by this board.
Changing the Operating Mode
To use the Super-Slow recording or 3-In/1-Out functions, Basic Menu item
041 (SS/SD SELECT) must be changed in the MAV-555.

Set MAV-555 Basic Menu item 040 (OPTION BOARD) to "BKMA-
520SS", and restart.

Set MAV-555 Basic Menu item 041 (SS/SD SELECT) to the desired
mode.
To use the Super-Slow recording function, select SS (Sony Super
Motion mode).
To use the MAV-555 in 3-In/1-Out mode, select SD (Standard input
mode).

Restart the MAV-555. Restarting enables the setting changed in step 2.
NOTE
Immediately after restarting at step 1, Basic Menu item 041 (SS/SD
SELECT) is set to SS, so that the Super-Slow recording function can be
used immediately, without requiring steps 2 and 3.

MAV-555 basic menu setting procedures.
About MAV-555 Operating Modes
When this board is installed in the MAV-555, the availability of the
following operating functions depends on the selected operating mode:
• Super-slow recording function: in Timing, Panel or DTR+Panel modes
• 3-In/1-Out function: in Panel mode
