Connection and Installation
Connecting the PC Interface Unit
The connection of the computer with the CPU-252
installed to the PC Interface Unit is shown in the figure
below.
The following computer configuration is necessary to
install the BKDS-2530 and its operation software
BZS-2050:
Computer: IBM PC/AT compatible (must be able to
accept full-sized expansion cards)
Processor: 166 MHz Intel

OS: Microsoft Windows NT
3)
Workstation 4.0
Memory: 32 MB or more

• Resolution: 1024

768 pixels or more
• Number of colors: 32768 or more
CPU-252 Installation and Setup
Notes
• Have the CPU-252 installed by a trained service
technician.
• Make sure the PC’s power is off when installing and
setting up the CPU-252.
For more information about removing the PC’s cover and
installing the CPU-252, please refer to the supplied
Installation Manual.
Before installing the CPU-252 board
The only setting that needs to be changed on the CPU-
252 board is the setting of the COP1 jumper. Before
installing the board, do the following.

From the Windows NT Start menu, select
Programs, Administrative Tools (Common), and
Windows NT Diagnostics.

Open the Resources tab in the Windows NT
Diagnostics dialog and check to see which of IRQ-
10, IRQ-11, IRQ-14, and IRQ-15 are not in use. If
the COP1 jumper is not set to a free IRQ, set it to a
free IRQ.
