An AF Tracking Sensitivity setting of 2 can help to maintain pinpoint
focus on a rapidly or erratically moving main subject by preventing
focus from shifting to obstacles that might occasionally come
between the subject and camera. These settings can provide optimum focus performance for a wide
range of moving subjects in common situations if the subject is
relatively large and moves in a somewhat predictable manner.
