Open Mobile Alliance. Promotes interoperability
and a wireless standard for delivering email,
textbased Web pages and data to mobile phones,
PDAs, pagers and other mobile terminals. OMA
email enables the mobile email client to be notified
of a new email using mobile network protocols.
OTA
Over-the Air configuration. To provide settings for
the phone by way of sending a message, SMS,
over the network to the phone. This reduces the
need for the user to configure the phone manually.
