7.2.4 Replacing the Control Panel Subassembly
1. Place the Control Panel Subassembly onto the Display Subassembly.
2. Install the wire harness and the two 40-pin flex circuits.
3. Replace the 100-pin flex circuit on the bottom module (Figure 7.7).
4. Carefully replace the Control Panel Subassembly by inserting the tabs on the top
of the assembly into the slots.
5. Set the Control Panel Subassembly in place; replace the two screws inside the
battery compartment using a #1 Phillips screwdriver. Torque the screws to
7.1 in./lb. (0.8 newton meter) (Figure 7.8).

6. Place the battery in the battery compartment.
7. Turn on the system.
8. To verify proper operation of the new Control Panel Subassembly, perform the
Control Panel tests in Chapter 8, Performance Tests, on page 65 .
