For synchronising to another PC-AD2, connect a coaxial cable from SK1 on 
the back of the master card to SK2 on the front of the slave card. Multiple 
cards can be daisy-chained in this fashion, with each synchronised to the 
preceding one.

At the bottom of the configuration page the PLL and AES input status is 
shown. The PLL will indicate whether it is 

locked 

or 

unlocked

 and whether 

its source is 

internal

 or 

external

. When a sync source other than 

None

 is 

selected, the source indicator will show 

external 

in green when it’s locked 

to that source, or 

internal

 in orange if it’s unable to do so (typically because 

the source sampling rate doesn’t match the card’s core sampling rate).

For each AES-3 input, the received sampling rate, frame lock and sampling 
rate converter status is shown. If the displayed rate varies erratically or if 
frame or converter lock can’t be achieved, check the cabling and make sure 
the input isn’t doubly-terminated.
