DMZ/OPT Port Troubleshooting
Symptom: I Am Having Problems Installing a Public Server on the DMZ/OPT Port
There are two options for the DMZ/OPT port: Transparent Mode, which allows you to configure the server
with a public IP address (useful for machines where it’s difficult or unfeasible to change the IP address), and
NAT Mode, which is the default setting. In Transparent Mode, verify the public IP address or the firewall
will not provide it access.
Figure 6 provides an example of a deployment of a Web server with a public IP
address of 204.180.153.201 attached to the OPT interface.
