Edit HA Monitoring dialog – IPv6
3 Optionally, Enable Physical/Link Monitoring by
selecting the checkbox. This option is not selected by
default.
4 In the Primary IP Address field, enter the unique LAN or
WAN management IP address of the Primary appliance.
5 In the Secondary IP Address field, enter the unique LAN
or WAN management IP address of the Secondary
appliance.
6 Select the Allow Management on Primary/Secondary
IP Address checkbox. This option is not selected by
default.
7 Optionally, enable Logical/Probe IP Address by
selecting the checkbox and providing the IP Address of
the target host. This option is not selected by default.
8 Click OK .
You can repeat these steps to configure Monitoring on other
interfaces.
Configuring Optional HA Settings
These optional settings are can configured on the High
Availability > Settings page:
• To backup the firmware and settings when you upgrade
the firmware version, select the Generate/Overwrite
Backup Firmware and Settings When Upgrading
Firmware checkbox. This option is not selected by
default.
• Select the Enable Virtual MAC checkbox to allow the
Primary and Secondary appliances to share a single
