Procedure
Follow the steps below to prepare the Radian mounting location:
1. Identify the location to be used to mount Radian and the orientation to use.
2. Refer to Fig 6 for the mounting dimensions, and drill four holes to take the
M5 fixings you will use to mount Radian.
Make sure the mounting holes allow Radian’s fore-aft axis to align with the
fore-aft line of the vessel or vehicle. Radian’s mounting holes are elongated
and will allow a very small degree of rotation to achieve perfect alignment.
3. Remove any burrs or swarf from the holes you have drilled.
4. Mount Radian in the correct orientation, and use the four M5 screws or bolts
with shakeproof and plain washers to secure it in position.

Make the
connection
Follow the steps below to make electrical and communication connections to Ra-
dian:
1. Check the contacts for signs of corrosion, and always use the blanking plug
supplied before deployment.
2. Ensure the connectors are lubricated, using a lubricant such as Molykote 44
Medium.
