To obtain a new IP address (all other versions of Windows)

Open a command window using one of the following methods:

In Windows 2000 or XP, choose

Start

Command Prompt

In Windows 98 or ME, choose

MS-DOS Prompt

The command window opens.

Force your computer to obtain a new IP address by typing the appropriate
command from the following table:

The Windows IP configuration is displayed.

Look for the output section related to the network interface for the SOMAport.

Example:

Ethernet adapter:

Close the MS-DOS Prompt or Command Prompt window.
