Recommendations
•
Make sure that you are sufficiently fit and well to use a platform. If you take any medication that might affect
your alertness, or if you have taken alcohol or drugs, it is dangerous to use an extension ladder or stepladder.
•
After receipt and before use, check that all parts are present and functioning correctly.
•
At the start of each work day, check that the platform has not been damaged and that it can be used safely
before starting to use it.
•
If the platform is used for business purposes, a periodic inspection is mandatory.
•
NEVER use a damaged platform.
•
Make sure that the platform is suited to the intended task.
•
Before each use, clear the platform of any deposits, such as fresh paint, oil or snow.
•
To prevent them from sliding or tipping, platforms must always be positioned on a stable, horizontal and
non-slippery surface.
•
NEVER move a platform if someone is on it or if it is in a raised position.
•
Before use, check that there is no risk of electrocution. Aluminium platforms conduct electricity, so you should
always maintain a safe working distance from electrical wires and regularly check that the flexible cables of
electrical devices are undamaged.
