MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING.
CLEANING:
IMPORTANT! DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER! Clean the heater grills using the
vacuum brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the inside of the heater.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE HEATER APART. Clean the body of heater with a soft cloth.
CAUTION:
Do not use gasoline, benzine, thinner, harsh cleaners, etc. as they will damage the heater.
NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.
SAFETY FEATURES
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will be automatically shut off. It can only resume
operation when the user resets the unit. (See
RESET INSTRUCTION
below)
RESET INSTRUCTION
Unplug the heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
After the 10 minutes, plug the unit in again and operate normally.
STORAGE
If the heater will not be used for a long period of time, store it in a cool, dry location when not in use. To
prevent dust and dirt build-up, use the original packaging to repack the unit.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of the above-mentioned safety features may have
activated to prevent overheating.
1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
2. Make sure the tip-over safety switch is engaged (pressed in). Make sure the heater is on a flat level surface.
3. There is no heat. Make sure thermostat temperature is set above the current room temperature. The heater
will not turn on of the thermostat on the display is set below the current room temperature.
4. If the Humidifier is not working, make sure the water container is full and properly placed inside
the unit.
5. Water may build up on the top of the unit when in Humidifier mode. This is completely normal. This water
will not
harm the heater or the electronics. To clean the water off, place the
heater and humidifier
in the
OFF position and wipe down with a paper towel or rag.
