Installing the SBC

2.3 Installing the Memory Modules

After you set the configuration switches on the I/O module, install your memory 
modules.  You can install either two or four DIMMs of the same size, speed, and 
architecture (see Section 1.4.4).

To install the DIMMs:

1.

Locate the memory connectors on the CPU module. If you choose to install 
only two DIMMs, you must install them in connectors 0 and 1.

2.

Align pin 1 of the memory module with pin 1 on the connector. The position 
of the orientation notches on the module assure proper connectivity.

3.

Firmly press the memory module into the connector.

4.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for other memory modules being installed.

Refer to Figure 2–3 as necessary.
