The rectifier will then begin its power walk-in to slowly transfer the load from the battery to the
generator. An auxiliary contact can be set to limit battery charging during the use of the
generator. Select an auxiliary contact that can be wired to the N.O. (normally open) (default
system controller set) or N.C. (normally closed) transfer switch dry contact.
Do not use auxiliary #1 or #3 they are already taken by the back-feed and surge
protector.
To perform the ATS test:
1.
From the System Menu choose
Main > Setup > Dry contacts > Generator mode
setup

The Generator screen appears:

From the
Generator
drop down menu choose dry contact 2 and select
Confirm
.
Now that it is enabled the battery charging current will be limited when the contact opens or
closes depending on controller setting configuration.
To change system controller settings from default N.O. (normally open) to N.C.
(normally closed):

From the System Menu navigate to input dry contact settings by choosing
Main >
Setup > Dry contacts > Input dry contacts
