Chapter 4

4.4.2.1

Vertical height

Measure the vertical height of the range pole or tripod and record
it in your field book or software.

Spectrum Survey and SDR+ software will automatically compute
the height of your antenna when you select the measurement
method and enter the vertical height.

4.4.2.2

True vertical height

Complete the following steps to find the receiver’s antenna
height:

Measure the vertical height of the range pole or tripod.

Add the vertical offset between the bottom of the receiver
and the phase center to the result of step 1.

Record the true vertical height in your field book or in the
Spectrum Survey or SDR+ software.
