Under normal operation, all client PCs’ IP addresses are automatically assigned by
the BroadGuard’s DHCP server.
The IP address range runs from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254. Up to 253 IP
addresses may be assigned to client PCs. The IP address 192.168.1.1 is reserved
for the BroadGuard. The other IP addresses are divided into two IP groups. One is
the dynamic IP group, the other is the static IP group.
The dynamic IP start address may be specified by the user, e.g. 192.168.1.100
(default value). Once this start IP address has been assigned by you, all IP
addresses running from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.254 will be part of the dynamic
IP address pool. IP addresses from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.99 will be available
as static IP addresses.
