Function keys

In the

CDP

test LinkXpert lists CDP responses of the connected

switch.

CDP is the "Cisco Discovery Protocol", according to which compatible
switches send out information about the switch port used and the
switch itself at regular intervals.

The content and frequency of this information depends on the
configuration of the switch.

The prerequisite is that the device can connect to the network and
has a valid IP address, see also

In the

LLDP

test LinkXpert lists LLDP responses of the connected

switch.

LLDP is the "Link Layer Discovery Protocol", according to which
compatible switches send out information about the switch port used
and the switch itself at regular intervals.

The content and frequency of this information depends on the
configuration of the switch.

Prerequisite is that the device can connect to the network and has a
