Handset care
・Handset is not water-proof. Avoid exposure to liquids and
high humidity.
- Keep handset away from precipitation.
- Cold air from air conditioning, etc. may condense causing
corrosion.
- Do not put handset in damp places like bathrooms.
- On the beach, keep handset away from sun and surf.
- Perspiration in handset may cause malfunction.
- Use Micro USB Cable and AC Charger indoors.
・If handset is left without Battery for an extended period or
with an exhausted one, data may be altered/lost. SoftBank
Mobile is not liable for any resulting damages.
・Use handset within temperatures of 0°C to 40°C and
humidity 25% to 75%. Avoid extreme temperatures/direct
sunlight.
・Handset may become warm during use or charging. This is
not malfunction.
・Exposing lens to direct sunlight may damage color filter and
affect image color.
・Soiled terminals may cause poor connection. If the terminals
are dirty, use a dry cloth or cotton swab to wipe them
clean.
・Clean handset with dry, soft cloth. Using alcohol, thinner,
etc. may damage it.
・Avoid forceful rubbing or scratching handset Display.
・Do not subject handset to excessive force.
- Do not sit down with handset in a back pocket.
- Do not place heavy objects on a bag with handset inside.
・Do not remove nameplate from handset; doing so invalidates
warranty.
・LCD is manufactured with high precision technology,
however, some pixels may appear darker/brighter.
・When strong force is applied to Display or handset, a
portion of Display may darken for a moment. This is not
malfunction.
・Connect only specified products to External Device Port.
・While walking, moderate earphone volume to make sounds
around you audible and help avoid accidents.
・When inserting/removing USIM Card or SD Card, make sure
to power off first and remove Battery Cover/Battery. For
removing procedures, see User Guide.
・If handset deactivates, freezes, or does not accept any
input, remove and reinsert Battery, and then power on
again.
Camera
・Do not expose Camera Lens to direct sunlight. Concentrated
sunlight through Lens may cause handset to malfunction.
・Be sure to try taking and previewing pictures before using
Camera on important occasions like wedding ceremonies.
・If you use handset in a wrongful manner, you may be
punished according to laws or ordinances (nuisance
prevention ordinance, etc.). Be considerate of privacy of
others when taking/recording pictures/videos or sending
images.
・Do not capture/record sold books or text prohibited from
capturing/recording.
Urgent News (Japanese)
・Urgent News Setting is enabled by default.
・Urgent News messages appear in Japanese.
・Upon reception, Urgent News tone sounds even in Silent
mode.
・Urgent News messages cannot be received during calls or
other transmissions, or in poor signal conditions.
・Urgent News accuracy may vary with signal conditions/
handset location.
・Enabling Urgent News may reduce Continuous Standby Time.
・SoftBank Mobile is not responsible for any losses associated
with Urgent News reception, etc.
Bluetooth
®
& Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN)
・Handset Bluetooth
®
and Wi-Fi functions are certified to be
in compliance with Japan radio standards. Handset does not
require a wireless radio operator license for use.
・Given the above, the actions below may be punishable by
law:
- Disassembling/modifying handset
・Handset may not connect/operate correctly with all
Bluetooth
®
or Wi-Fi devices.
・Handset complies with Bluetooth
®
and Wi-Fi security
standards, however, communication may be intercepted
depending on the environment/settings. Take care when
using Bluetooth
®
or Wi-Fi.
・SoftBank Mobile is not responsible for data leaked via
Bluetooth
®
or Wi-Fi communication.
・Bluetooth
®
and Wi-Fi devices operate on the same frequency
band used by industrial or scientific machinery, consumer
electronics (like microwave ovens), medical equipment,
(licensed) premises radio stations used to identify mobile
units used in manufacturing lines, (unlicensed) specified low
power radios and (licensed) amateur radios.
1. Before using handset Bluetooth
®
or Wi-Fi functions,
confirm that premises radio stations, specified low power
radios, and amateur radios are not in use nearby.
2. If handset Bluetooth
®
or Wi-Fi function use interferes
with premises radio stations, immediately change frequency
band, or halt usage and take steps (set up a partition, etc.)
to prevent crosstalk.
3. If handset Bluetooth
®
or Wi-Fi function use interferes
with specified low power radios or amateur radios, contact
SoftBank Customer Support , General Information.
