Basic operation
When the operator approaches an electric field between
1kV–10kV and exceeds a distance of approximately 40 cm
for 1 kV and 2 metres for 10kV, the detector emits a sound
to warn the operator that he is in a dangerous area. The
alarm will not stop until the operator moves away from the
voltage source. The device is always alert.
*Approximate distance values obtained in laboratory
conditions: voltage in a 550 mm ball located 1,500 mm from
the ground.
Test
Bring the detector close to a known voltage source, such
as 110-220 cable and check acoustic signal.
