Using the Aerial Work Platform, Rules and Restrictions
Before using the SPYDERCRANE with its installed AWP, you must read and comply with these directions:
Read all warning labels, decals, and placards on SPYDERCRANE and the AWP.
When the AWP is being moved by the SPYDERCRANE, leave the Yoke Brake unlocked to allow the AWP to swing freely.
When the AWP has been maneuvered into position, lock the Yoke Brake to prevent the AWP from swinging.
DO NO load more than 300 lbs. into the AWP.
Even if the SPYDERCRANE is operated in Remote Control from the AWP, a qualified operator should remain on the ground with
the SPYDERCRANE during personnel lifting operations.
The AWP MUST ONLY be maneuvered in the working radii labeled
“
SAFE USE
”
in the AWP Load Chart (see below).
The AWP MUST NEVER be maneuvered in the working radii labeled
“
PROHIBITED ZONE
”
in the AWP Load Chart (see below).
If using the Rated Load Chart for the SPYDERCRANE, NEVER maneuver the AWP to a Working Radius LESS THAN 1,150 lbs.
You MUST AWP Installed configuration setting in the Crane Configuration Screen.
Never allow the loaded AWP to swing into the area marked
“
DANGER ZONE
”
on the Yoke Brake when the boom is Stage 5 or
Stage 6.
