STEP3: plinth positioning
STEP3: plinth positioning
Mark the line of the floor at the distance
(h) from the “BASE OF DISHWASHER” line
Draw the thickness of the door front
starting from the mark: “INSIDE OF DOOR”.
Add the difference needed to reach the
intended length of the door to the minimum
length
Then choose the door front dimension
line by selecting the curve closer to
the outline of the door front just drawn;
the whole of the door front profile must
be contained within the curve chosen.

Mark out the space required
(e.g. with a dotted line), i.e. the zone
which must be left unobstructed to allow
the door to move (this will be all the space
above the space occupancy line).
The position of the plinth, in terms of
the height of the plinth and the amount by
which it must be recessed behind the
kitchen front (i.e. the visible part of the door
front), can be defined, taking care to avoid
the identified area.
