The diagram below shows a typical computer/TV installation.

Wiring for Multiple Users (Optional)

Contact your service provider for availability and instructions if you need
to configure your modem for multiple user service.

The SMC8011CM supports many multiple user configurations. It can
easily serve as a gateway to the Internet for up to 17 users. Multiple users
are connected to an Ethernet hub or switch, which is attached to the
SMC8011CM.

Insert the square (B-type) USB
plug of the USB cable into the
USB port at the back of the
modem and the rectangular
(A-type) USB plug into the
USB port at the back of the
computer.
