RIGID WALL STRUCTURE
1.
Make an opening in the wall - 230 [mm] (acceptable 210
÷ 250
[mm]) greater than the dimension
B and 100 [mm] (acceptable 80
÷
120 [mm]) greater than the dimension H, i.e. B+230 i H+100.
2.
Insert the closed damper into the assembly opening and support or suspend it so that the
actuator cover on the side of the thermal release is flush with the wall surface. The damper
should be protected against possible undesirable stresses, which could lead to deflection of the
body, e.g. by using assembly struts.
3.
After setting the damper as described, fill the space above and below the actuator housing with
the native material of the wall, and then fill the gap between the damper and the wall with
cement mortar, cement-lime mortar or concrete.
4.
After the mortar has dried (approx. 48 hours), remove the struts, supports or suspensions which
were used to install the damper. Check the correct operation of the damper, then leave the
damper in the open position.
5.
Secure the fire passage with a GKF 15x150 [mm] board band on both sides of the building
partition, then cover the flanges with PROMASTOP-CC Liquid or PROMASTOP-E Coating.
