INTRODUCTION
SmartAVI’s HDX
-400 is an innovative solution to
extending any HDMI over inexpensive Cat5e/Cat6
cabling up to 180 feet away to up to three remote
display screens at once.
This is the perfect solution for broadcasting high-
definition media easily and inexpensively from a
source to three display screens for customers to view
while keeping the CPU in a remote, secure location,
such as a computer room or the back office of a
business. Utilizing the HDX-400, users can monitor
what’s being shown to customers in real
-time via a
local display with the built-in local HDMI output, while
retaining full control over the CPU or HDMI source,
accessible only by key personnel.
The HDX-400 utilizes up to three HDX-RX100
receivers and enables the user to send the same
HDMI signal to three remote displays. The HDX-RX100
is a compact unit that is easily integrated into a digital
display network such as in a retail store or bar/
lounge. The transmitter and receiver units are
extremely compact, which makes inclusion into a
user’s infrastructure very easy.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION
1. Connect the HDX-400 to the local source and display.
2. Connect the HDX-400 to up to 3 HDX-RX100 receivers with CAT 5e/6 cables. (HDX-RX100
receivers and CAT 5e/6 cables not included.)
3. Connect the HDX-RX100s to remote displays.
4. Connect power to all the devices.
