Power consumed by the IDP-800 is a fairly involved. SkyWave has provided a Power
Estimator on the support

site to help customer estimate power and battery life for their
particular applications.
As an example, Table 7 shows the estimated power consumption for an IDP-800
operating in two difference scenarios.

3.2.3 Power Off Controls
The IDP-800 contains a hall-effect sensor which is located under the three concentric
circles etched in the top of the IDP-800. A magnet can be applied to the center of the
three circles (magnet sensor) allowing the IDP-800 to enter or exit Power Off mode
(Figure 7).
