While monitoring A and B with an oscilloscope, you will see how this antenna is susceptible to detuning
from mounting on metal and even from the presence of one or more tags. In order to design the
antenna so that you could mount it onto either metal or non-metal and see similar performance, the
antenna can be designed with a ground ring or a shield on a top and bottom layer. The next example
shows a ground ring around the antenna. See the following drawing and picture.
