7.1.2.2 DHCP-server available, DHCP activated, access via the Windows Explorer
To get into the configuration menu of the IP-Gateway II, the personal computer for the configuration and the
IP-Gateway II need to be connected to the same network. First open the Windows Explorer. To do so you can
either double click the Explorer icon on your desktop or click right on the Start button and then choose „Open
Windows Explorer“ or „Open Explorer“. Optionally you can also – in every Windows version – use the combi
-
nation of the
Windows- and e-key
.
When the Explorer window is open you will find a menu with various points on the left hand side of the window.
You can find the IP-Gateway II by clicking on the last point
network
. On the right various devices of the
network will be shown.
Here it is important that the network discovery function is active on your per-
sonal computer.
If this is not the case you can activate this function as follows:
Under Windows 7:
Click on
the screen symbol at the bottom
right of your computer screen
with the right
mouse button.
Then choose the point
Network and Sharing
Center
and open it by clicking on it with the left
mouse button.
Then pick
Change Advanced
Sharing Settings
on the left
hand side and click it.
Click on
Turn on Network
discovery
and save your
settings.
