Battery status
(Constant light. One of the battery
lamps):
Green > 80%
Yellow = 80-20%
Red < 20%
Low battery emergency opening
If the battery voltage is below approx. 16 V, all lamps
turn on simultaneously and system opens constantly.
6.2 Testing the installation
Test only one house at a time.
For a two-house emergency opening system, start with house 1 in the left-hand side of DOL 278T.
Carry out the test early in the morning before the outdoor temperature becomes so high that the inlets are al-
ready open or the outdoor temperature compensation (yellow lamp) prevents the inlets from opening.
If two emergency openings are connected in parallel, the green light on the front of the DOL 278 ON/OFF must
remain lit during the entire test.
1.
Connect the panel and supply voltage. One of the three battery lamps must be on.
2.
Connect the battery wires: Red battery wire to red battery connectors and black wire to black.
(If the red battery lamp is on, the battery should charge for at least 20 minutes before the first test).
3.
Turn the button – in the side which is not tested – up to 45 °C = not active.
4.
Turn the current temperature button on DOL 278T a little.
The house controller display shows the setting of the button together with the set temperature of the
house (
Alarm settings | Climate | Temp. controlled emergency opening
).
5.
Turn the button (counterclockwise) to 10°C = “TEST” (measures the battery voltage after 10 secs.).
6.
Check the battery voltage in the house controller.
(
Alarm settings | Climate | Temp. controlled emergency opening | Current battery voltage
),
Current
battery voltage
(battery) for partially charged battery should be higher than 18 V.
7.
Check that the red emergency opening lamp and green opening lamp switch on.
8.
Check that the system opens in the correct house.
9.
Check that all the fans are still running.
Check that the green battery lamp is on. (If the yellow battery lamp is on, the battery is not fully charged. If
the red battery lamp is on, the battery is almost discharged or the 15 A battery fuse/battery wire is discon-
nected).
10. Turn the emergency temperature button slowly upwards (clockwise) until the red lamp turns off and con-
tinue approx 1-2 degrees higher.
The red lamp and the green opening lamp must still be off.
11. Heat the DOL 278T-temperature sensor of the correct house (DOL 12) in your hand for a couple of min-
utes. (Note that it is not the indoor temperature sensor of the house controller).
12. Check that the red lamp switches on in the same side as in item 8.
The green opening lamp switches on for at couple of seconds every three minutes at the same time as
the house opens a little. This can, however, be difficult to see.
13. The red lamp must switch off again when the DOL 278T-temperature sensor has cooled off.
For a two-house emergency opening system (2 rotary buttons on the emergency opening), repeat the test for
house 2.
