PARK DISTANCE CONTROL
The accessories are intended for professional assembly. Škoda Auto recommends
that the assembly should be performed by a contracted partner.

The park distance control order no. BEA 800 003 is intended for the model Škoda Superb
Combi (3T9) to facilitate reversing. The four sensors in the rear bumper monitor the
distance between the vehicle and any possible obstacle. The driver is informed of the
extent of the free area by an acoustic signal from the loudspeaker.

If an obstacle is encountered at a distance of approx. 160 cm from the rear section
of the vehicle it is signaled with short beeps at 1 second intervals. On approaching
the obstacle this interval will become increasingly shorter. At a distance of approx.
30 cm the beeping will change to an uninterrupted tone (STOP signal) and will be
accompanied by changes in pitch, Ref. individual zones, Fig. 11.

The park distance control is not connected to data lines and therefore diagnostics
cannot be performed by the VAS instrument and also it will not allow the transmission
of information to other components in the vehicle (e.g. car radio display).

Disassemble and reassemble the individual parts in accordance with the workshop
manuals. The car battery must be disconnected during assembly.
Disassemble the rear bumper spoiler (Note: if a diffuser is attached to the vehicle then
disassemble the entire bumper.) Then remove the luggage compartment sill panel and
the D-column lining on the right hand side of the vehicle. Disassemble the right side panel
of the luggage compartment lining so it is sufficiently uncovered or remove it completely.
Carefully clean and degrease all of the places selected for affixing the park sensor
