A buoyancy aid helps protect against drowning. It does not guarantee rescue or survival. Read the instructions for use and
the product information carefully before use. Observe the instructions on / on the buoyancy aid. Note that the buoyancy
aid only acts as a personal buoyant after full inflation. The buoyancy aid is only suitable for temperatures above -10 ° C.
ATTENTION: Compressed gas cartridges are dangerous goods. Keep away from children and do not use improperly. When
jumping into the water, the arms are to be crossed over the inflated buoyancy aid to avoid injury and damage! Avoid jumps
over 3 m. If you carry extra weights or buoyancy or if your clothing is buoyant, the function of the buoyancy aid may be
impaired. Test the buoyancy aid in the pool to become familiar with its function and behavior in the water. Instruct your
children. Do not use swimming aid as a cushion. Your buoyancy aid is equipped with a 2-tone signal flute. In case of
emergency, you can hereby draw attention do.
2. CHECK THE INFLATOR BEFORE EACH USE (SHORT CHECK)
Check the operational readiness of the inflator or inflators before each application. To do this, open the buoyancy aid
on the Velcro fastener.
2.1 GAS CARTRIDGE (CO2) FULL?
Unscrew the cartridge and check if the cartridge is intact (see Figure 1). Replace the gas cartridge with a new original
SKINFOX replacement cartridge if the muzzle is damaged
is. Retighten the cartridge by hand.
2.2 DOES THE INDICATOR SHOW GREEN?
If the indicator is green (hand release lever secured) and the cartridge is full, the inflator is ready for use (see Figure 2),
otherwise it must be readjusted as per Chapter 7. After checking the inflator and, if necessary, re-enlightening, re-fold
the float and store it in the bag.
3. CHECK THE SWIMMING AID BEFORE EACH SEASON
Unfasten the buoyancy aid and unfold the float. Blow up the floating body via the mouth valve (see also chapter 5) and
leave it for about 16 hours. If the float is still full after this time, it is fine.
3.1 MOUTH VALVE FUNCTIONAL?
Remove the dust cap and check the valve insert for movement with the dust cap turned upside down or with the nose
on the dust cap (see Figure 3). The mouth valve must after depression and
Close the cap completely. Put the dust cap back on.
3.2 PROTECTIVE CASES AND BELTS WITHOUT DAMAGE?
Check the bag, straps and fittings for damage, as well as existing accessories for completeness. Separating the buoyan-
cy aid can e.g. required if the tear strength of the fabric and straps is reduced by continuous UV radiation.
3.3 GAS CARTRIDGE (CO2) O.K.?
Replace empty and corroded / rusted gas cartridges with a new original SKINFOX replacement cartridge.
4. ATTACHING THE SWIMMING AID
Never wear the buoyancy aid under a piece of clothing. Open the closure and put the vest around the waist (see Figure
5). Close the lock securely. Adjust the harness tight. Only a swimming aid sitting firmly on the body can keep you in the
water in the stable supine position. ATTENTION: Loosely wearing the buoyancy aid is dangerous. If necessary, pull the
float out of the bag and pull it over the head. Inflate buoyancy aid (see chapter 5).
