Lubrication
Lubricate with light oil as directed below at least once each season.
•
Periodically lubricate the locking pin in the handle adjustment knob (Fig. 29), the torsion
spring and pivot of the rear-discharge door (Fig. 30) with light oil to prevent rust.

Lubricate the wheel center hole (or the wheel axle) with light oil when the wheel seems
impeded during operation.
•
Place the mower into the locked storage position and remove the battery:
1 Move the cutting-height adjustment lever toward the front and engage it in the lowest
setting.
2. Open the handle-locking clamps and fully recess the side rails to the compact position.
3. Turn the handle adjustment knob to release the handle.
4. Gently pivot the handle toward the front of the mower; turn the handle adjustment knob to
lock the handle in the locked storage position. Make sure that the lock pin has engaged in
the locked storage position.

Place the folded mower upright on the ground (Fig. 31 & 32).
1. Lubricate the deck-height adjustment joint.
2. For self-propel mower, lubricate the bearings on the drive shaft near the rear wheels
(Fig. 32).
