For lateral swaths, the machine must be tilted as shown in fig. 6.11. To adjust the machine to this position,
take strut 18 out of hole L and rotate frame 23 so that the strut can be inserted into hole M. Lower the left
rake assembly 42 and move pin 46 so as to free arm 47, and adjust its width to obtain the desired swath
size. which is attached to support F. The spring must lock the rake into one of the “H” holes so as to obtain
the desired swath size. Raise front hay guard 64 and lock it into the high position with pin 65.
Position the tines as shown in the figure, extracting the pin from hole B and inserting it in hole A. The rotors
must turn in the same direction, as shown in the figure. To obtain this, move shift lever 53 into position D.
The wheel height and the tilt of the machine must be adjusted to the working conditions; however it is prefer-
able to work with the wheels in the middle height position and the tilt of the machine must be such that the
tines brush the ground in front.
To transport the machine, place strut 18 into hole N, raise the left rake assembly 42 and lock the movement
of the drawbar using lock lever 2 (see fig. 5.16).
When working, lock lever 2 must be released, so that drawbar 17 may move freely.
