• Insert the fixing plug into the gap between the moun ng plate and
the smoke alarm to fix your alarm.
• Turn on the AC power. If the mains power connec on is properly
working, the green LED will light up.
• Test the correct ac va on of your smoke alarm by pressing and
holding the test bu on un l a beep is generated. If no sound is
generated, the smoke alarm is not func oning properly and should
not be used!
Alarm silence facility
When the smoke alarm has detected smoke and turns into the alarm
mode, you can mute the alarm approximately 8 minutes by pressing the
test bu on. A er that, the smoke alarm automa cally resets and returns
into the normal opera on mode. If there are s ll par cles of combus on
in the air, the smoke alarm will turn into the alarm mode again.
WARNING
: Before using the alarm silence facility, always iden fy the
cause of the alarm and make sure that the circumstances are safe.
Low ba ery mode
When the ba ery is running low, the smoke alarm will indicate this with
a repe
ve beep and flash for approximately 30 days. Replace the
ba eries by one of the recommended ba ery types described in
paragraph “product specifica ons”.

WARNING:
Turn off the power before replacing the ba eries to avoid
the risk of electrical shocks;
• Remove the fixing plug from the smoke alarm;
• Remove the smoke alarm off of the moun ng plate;
• Squeeze in and hold the locking arms on the sides of the AC connector
and pull it away from the moun ng plate;
• Open the ba ery compartment and replace the ba ery;
• Close the ba ery cover and plug the AC connector into the smoke
alarm;
• Place the smoke alarm on the moun ng plate and secure it by turning
it clockwise.
• Insert the fixing plug into the hole between the moun ng plate and
the smoke alarm to fix your alarm.
• Turn on the AC power;
• Test the alarm for correct opera on using the test facility, whenever
the ba ery is replaced. Press and hold the test bu on un l a beep is
generated. If no sound is generated, the smoke alarm is not
func oning properly and should not be used!
Fault warning mode
When the smoke alarm is not func oning properly, it will turn into the
fault warning mode. Try cleaning the smoke alarm (see paragraph
maintenance) or replace the smoke alarm!
Maintenance
• Test this smoke alarm weekly for correct opera on using the test
facility. If the smoke alarm func ons correctly, it will generate a loud
beep. Due to the loudness of the alarm, make sure that you always
stand at arm’s length distance from the unit when you are tes ng. If
the smoke alarm does not generate an acous c signal, the smoke
alarm must be replaced immediately!
• Clean the smoke alarm at least once per month to remove dirt, dust
or debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a so brush and vacuum all
sides and covers of the smoke alarm. Do not remove the top cover of
the smoke alarm to clean it inside.
• Do not a empt to repair this smoke alarm. If the smoke alarm shows
a damage related to its func onality, it must be replaced!
• Trouble shoo ng: False alarm is o en caused by dust or steam.
Recycling and disposal
The WEEE symbol means that this product and ba eries
must be disposed separately from other household waste.
When they reach their end of life, take them to a designated
waste collec on point in your area to guarantee a safe disposal or
recycling. Protect the environment, human health and natural resources!
