Instruments and instrument hoses

5.3.1

Rinse water lines

Microorganisms can grow in the water lines of the simulation unit. Use a

large amount of water to rinse the lines prior to the use.

5.3.2

Purge the water lines (purge function)

with 3-way syringe Standard and SPRAYVIT E

To reduce the amount of germs, the water lines of the water-carrying

instruments of the dentist element and the Standard or SPRAYVIT E 3-

way syringe of the dentist or assistant element can be purged with water.
For the purge function, individual instruments are removed from the

holder and held over the cuspidor for purging. The water lines of all

removed instruments are then purged consecutively. Press the water key

of the 3-way syringe for purging.
With the SIM MODULAR simulation unit, the purge and sanitizing function

is optional.
With the SIM MODULAR simulation unit, it is also possible to

automatically purge the water lines, see "Purging water lines

automatically (autopurge function)"..

Preparation

The following preparations should be made before you begin to purge the

water lines.
1. Set all of the instruments to be purged to their maximum water flow

rate. The water regulators under the instrument holder must be

turned counterclockwise.

2. Put all instruments in place.

IMPORTANT

The water flow rate to the instruments is not checked by the simulation

unit.
➢ Make sure that the maximum water flow rate is set for all

instruments to be purged.
