ANNEX 1
Instructions for Use of Conversion Cables
Conversion cables are required to meet any of the following conditions:
1.
When input terminal of DC side of inverter or collecting board is original MC4.
2.
When the inverter or the collecting board manufacturer requests serial DC input, bus terminal should
be MC4. Before use:
1.
Verify the compatibility of the conversion cable with the original MC4 connector and the MC4 connector.
2.
Make sure the connector on the conversion cable is not disconnected or loose and the metal core is not
crooked or water-stained etc.
3.
Verify that the cable insulation layer of the conversion cable is not damaged and that the cable is not
severely folded or bent.
Assembling the Conversion Cable
1.
Conversion cable installation location: Series’ positive pole is the positive pole of the first component junction box
cable in the series, and the negative pole is the negative pole of the last component junction box wire in the series.
2.
Plug the positive pole of the array into the negative pole of the conversion cable (compatible) and connect the
other positive pole (original MC4) of the conversion cable to the DC positive input terminal of the inverter or
junction box.
3.
Plug the negative pole of the array into the positive pole of the conversion cable(compatible) and link the negative
pole (original MC4) of the conversion cable to the DC negative input of the inverter or junction box.

PRECAUTIONS
1.
After connection, make sure that the polarity of the string matches the polarity between the inverter or the
combiner box.
2.
While is use, install and connect exactly according to the schematic diagram and do not reverse operation.
3.
Each string on the DC side is limited to one pair of conversion lead wires and cannot be exploited to be linked
multiple times like an extension cord.
