Make sure that all air hoses are oil resistant and rated for the working pressure.

Air hoses that burst can cause injury.

Tools not operated at proper air pressure can operate erratically.

Do not exceed a maximum air pressure of 90 psig/6.2 bar or as stated on the tool’s nameplate or operating instructions. Use an

air regulator to maintain proper air pressure.

Tools with the actuator left in the “ON” position when an unexpected air pressure loss occurs can start unexpectedly when the air

pressure is restored.

Release the actuator if an unexpected loss of air pressure occurs.

Unexpected tool starts can cause injury.

Tools with the actuator left in the “on” position can cause unexpected starts when the tool is connected to the air supply.

Be sure actuator is off before hooking up air.

Unexpected starts can cause injury.

The use of any accessory with this tool not provided or specified by Sioux Tools can perform unpredictably.

Read and understand safety instructions before installing, operating, repairing, maintaining, changing accessories on, or
working near the skin clamp runner.  Do not modify this skin clamp runner.  Do not operate this skin clamp runner if it has been
modified or damaged.  Tools should be inspected periodically to ensure markings are legible.

Beware of hazards during operation of the skin clamp runner.

Wear gloves to protect from cuts, abrasion and heat.  Operators and maintenance personnel should be physically able to handle

the bulk, weight and power of the tool.  Hold the tool firmly and be ready to counteract normal or sudden movements and have both

hands available.  Maintain a balanced body position and secure footing.  Use a suspension device or side handles when possible.

Keep hands away from the rotating chuck and drill bit.  Release the start-and-stop device in case of an interruption of air supply.

Use only lubricants recommended by Sioux Tools.  Safety glasses are required; gloves and protective clothing are recommended.

Hazards from operating the tool can cause injury.

Accessories and bits attached to the skin clamp runner can create hazards.

Disconnect the skin clamp runner from the air supply before changing the inserted tool or accessories.  Do not touch the

inserted bit during operation as this increases the risk of cuts, burns, or vibration injuries.  Do not use accessories and

consumables that are not recommended by Sioux Tools.  Use only the sizes and types of accessories and bits that are

recommended by Sioux Tools.

Improper accessories, improperly mounted accessories and tools can cause injury.

with electrical current.  Ensure work area is free from electrical cables, gas pipes and other hazards.

Hazards from your workplace can cause injuries.

When disposing of a tool, do it in a way that does not harm personnel or the environment.

INTENDED USE AND GENERAL OPERATION

This tool is used to install skin clamps that temporarily hold components together. Skin clamps are often called by other names, such as “Cleco

clamps®”, “Kwick-Loc®”, “Wedgelok®”, and sheet metal holders. To install skin clamps, place the nose piece of the tool over the outer body of skin

clamp. Engage the tool driver on the threaded 1/4” (6.4 mm) nut of the skin clamp. Pull the trigger and run the tool until it stalls. To remove the skin

clamp, follow the above procedure, but reverse the rotation of the tool.

REVERSE OPERATION

The spindle rotation is controlled by the slide on the top, rear of  the tool.
Move the slide to the right for right hand rotation and to the left for left hand rotation. To ensure maximum performance, make sure the slide is in the full

left or right position.

AIR SUPPLY

The efficiency and life of this tool depend on the proper supply of clean, dry air at a maximum of 90 PSI. The use of an air line filter, pressure regulator,

and lubricator is recommended.
Before connecting to tools, blow out the air line to remove water and dirt that may have accumulated.
