USE
Before use
• Connect the appliance to the power. Place the device on the stand
• Turn the curling iron/straightener on by using the on/off switch
Straightening function
• Move the function selector backwards to the handle.
• Starting from the top of your head, you have to pick a small strand of hair, and make it straight
by combing it.
• Place the strand of hair between the heating plates, than push the heating plates together.
• Move slowly from the hair roots to the tip of the hair.
• Repeat this with other strands of hair until all your hair is straightened.
• Wait until your hair cools down and then comb it.
• After the use of the appliance, switch it off by using the power switch (on/off switch) and then
unplug it from the power socket.
Curling function
• Move the function selector forward towards the tip of the straightener.
• Start with separating a strand of hair.
• Open the clip by using the lever, place the strand of hair so that the end of the hair protrudes
slightly beyond the clip and then close the clip.
• Wind the hair strand around the curling iron, starting at the tip of the hair and moving closer
to the head.
• For a heavy curl effect you can keep the strand of hair wound around the curling iron wand for
about 20 seconds or shorter time for light curls.
• After using, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power source.
CAUTION: Avoid touching your head skin with the curling iron because it might cause
burns.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe appli-
ance surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit.
STORAGE
• Unplug the appliance; allow cooling, and storing in its box or in a dry place. Never store it while
it is hot or still plugged in.
• Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance.
• Never hang unit by the cord. Store the cord loosely coiled. Do not put any stress on the cord
where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.
