About EK80 mode
When used in EK80 mode, the WBT Mini is controlled by the Simrad EK80 Scientific
echo sounder program.
The EK80 software provides full real-time control of the WBT Mini using the Ethernet
interface. When used in
EK80 mode, the RAW echo sounder data are recorded directly
to the computer disk(s).
This mode requires one or more EK80 software licenses.

adapter for communication with the WBT Mini
The communication between the PC and the WBT Mini is made using a high-speed Ethernet
cable. If more than one transceiver is used, an Ethernet switch is added. In the EK80
software, the necessary IP address is generated automatically.
Prerequisites
This procedure is made for the Microsoft ® Windows ® 7 operating system. It is assumed that
you are familiar with this operating system.
Context
As long as you do not change the PC to another computer, or replace the network adapter in
your PC, you will only need to do this once.
Procedure
1 Close all the programs that are running on the PC.
