4.5 Storage
If the machine is not to be used for a period of two months or more, it should be stored in a
clean, dry place with good ventilation, at temperatures not below 0
℃
. Before placing the
machine into storage, carry out the following procedure:
1. Lower the cradle to the ground.
2. Clean the machine thoroughly as per §3.2 .
3. Using a silicone spray, lightly lubricate the winch mechanism and inside of the mast.
4. Use a bicycle lock to secure the machine against theft and vandalism. For maximum
security, the chain should be passed through the welded grab handle on the front of
the mast, and around the winch handle.
