Under Microphone Operations, Tx Limit Timer determines how long a single
continuous transmission can last before the radio returns itself to receive. If the
PTT has been accidentally pressed for longer than this period of time then the radio
will automatically return to receive and even though the PTT remains pressed, it will
not transmit again until the PTT has been released and pressed again. This allows
base to advise anyone sitting on their microphone PTT that they should desist.
Tx Limit Beeps warns the user by beeping ten seconds before the time out period
expires. Briefly releasing and re-keying the PTT will reset this timer and allow you
to continue if necessary.
