When attaching hip straps, the ideal pick up should
enable the pelvic area and the legs to pickup
simultaneously.
Adjustment can be made by using the color coded
connections to enable the best pick up.
Ensure that all straps are not twisted and are attached
securely before commencing the transfer.
You can now begin the transfer. Once the sling takes
the weight of the patient you may need to re-adjust
the position of the sling for the patient’s comfort.
Lower the patient back onto the chair/bed to make any
adjustments before continuing the transfer.
